No, I didn't want the end to come. I was scared to death about armageddon and I wanted to grow up and live life to the fullest in "this world" and then I figured I would be ready for the "new system". I remember feeling really guilty about feeling this way, but I really didn't want the end to come!

Not in my hall that I was aware of anyway...but a friend of mine's hall. She lived in another city and I went to live with her for a few months. There was a guy in our hall that we were friends with, as he was about our age. Late teens. Anyway, he got DF'd and then I found out it was b/c he was sexually molesting his little brother!! I remember being sick to my stomach b/c I used to hang out with this guy. It was not ever reported to the police, he was just dealt with internally.
Talk about disgusting!! That poor little boy who couldn't even trust his own brother...or parents...or Jeh's "loving, clean organization"...no one.

Even though I have been out of this cult for 12 years, that was one thing I always struggled with. You will find this site extremely helpful. by Abandoned intomorrow is my first day at my new job.
i'm looking forward to it but i'm a little nervous as well.
other than my own computers and a couple of friend's computers, i haven't done a whole lot of this kind of work since 2004. of course before that, i did it exclusively for eleven years.

by looloo ini recently bumped into a jw i know that told me that her watch had been pinched at an assembly , she then went on to tell me that a lot of worldly people go to assemblys ,so she should have been more carfull !!!!!!!
this is someone that knows im "worldly" i was gobsmacked when i had recovered from my shock i informed her that i would not dream of stealing something despite being "worldly".
i dont even think she realised how offensive it sounded and she is not usually a judgemental person , so it must be all that self righteous association she has been mixing with lol

Wow, I can't believe I'm doing this....

it's been a crazy ride for over 25 years, pretty much raised as a witness (ever since i could remember), rebelled against my parents, came back, straighten out for a little while, married within "the truth", but the last 5 to 7 years, i've been seriously questioning the changes and doctrines established by the wts.
never thought i would be looking from this side of the fence.

Reinstated 5 yrs ago
by Treebe ini am just trying to understand what my choices are.
i have been reinstated for just over 5 yrs and still have not had my privileges back.
i am a single mom and have been to all the meeting that we can, doing our best outside of kids colds and flu's, not to mention car trouble, but i have always turned in my time each month and study reports, but still i can not answer.

I hope you will find what you are lacking in your current situtation here. We are a loving and supportive group here. Take a look around the site, there are lots of people who were unhappy with how they were treated here.

also, for those who have read his thread (and if you havent, i highly encourage that you do) his sister's birthday is monday, january 21st...tomorrow!
